Interview with Dimitrina Milenkova - winner of the KAI award from the "Science School of Architecture and Design" competition organized by New Bulgarian University

At the beginning of the year, students from New Bulgarian University took part in the competition, organized by the Scientific School of Architecture and Design at the educational institution, to create an architectural project and interior design of a holiday village. KAI awarded the interior project "Azure Lahas Villas", with author Dimitrina Milenkova, who showed a wonderful interior that perfectly combines the design of the rectified porcelain tiles in size 60x120 R from the Chateau, Chevron, Merona and Stonehenge series, as well as the Navona multi-format series.

Dimitrina Milenkova readily answered our questions about her project and our products.

● What do you know about us?

You are among the leading manufacturers on the Bulgarian market, offering a diverse range of ceramic products, including ceramic tiles, glazed and unglazed porcelain tiles.

● What are your impressions of our tiles and what do you like about them?

I have had the pleasure of working with your products both in this project and in my other interior projects and I can say that I am very impressed with their quality, design and variety. You have a large range of products and sizes, which makes them suitable for any interior.

● Tell us more about the concept behind your project?

The main concept in the "Azure Lahana Villas" project was to emphasize life by the sea, through clean lines and minimalist design in light, warm tones and textures as close as possible to the natural beauty of the surrounding environment.

● Why did you choose these series?

I had the pleasure of visiting your new showroom, where I selected the most suitable materials to include in my project. All the series I have selected are available in several sizes, which makes them flexible in their use in the interior to look aesthetically good. The project aimed to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, so I selected collections inspired by natural materials.

● How did the series fit in with the other elements of the interior design?

I chose series with clean lines, neutral colors and smooth surfaces that complement the elegance of the modern minimalist interior. The tiles in the project serve as a calming backdrop that allows other design elements such as furniture, lighting and accessories to take center stage.

 ● Would you include our tiles in another project in the future?

Absolutely! I would be more than happy to use your tiles in my future projects. Their wide range of products offers a wide variety of design possibilities. Overall, I find the products very flexible and adaptable, making them a great resource for any project, they can be used in all areas, both public and residential interiors.
