All tiles are produced in batches- for example a certain amount of particular series is produced and when it is  out of stock the series is in production again, however it’s another batch. Batches are important because, each batch differs from another other in hue and date of manufacture.

Porcelain tiles are tougher, more resistant to scratch
and stains and have greater density.
